Overview

Overview

The Ubiquiti UniFi Pro Max 24 PoE is a professional-grade 1U rack-mount Layer 3 switch delivering PoE++ output across all 24 ports, Etherlighting™, 2.5 GbE access ports, and 10G SFP+ uplinks in a compact 325mm-deep chassis. Eight 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports with PoE++ output are ideal for connecting Wi-Fi 6/7 access points, while sixteen 1 GbE ports (8 × PoE+, 8 × PoE++) cover VoIP phones, IP cameras, and other standard PoE devices. A 400W total PoE budget is delivered from an internal 550W PSU, with USP RPS DC backup input for resilience.

Layer 3 features include DHCP server, inter-VLAN routing, and static routing, alongside a full Layer 2 feature set and Pro AV profiles for one-click network optimisation. Managed through the UniFi Network application with no per-device licensing fees. NDAA compliant.

Key highlights

  • 24 PoE ports — 8 × PoE+ (1GbE), 8 × PoE++ (1GbE), 8 × PoE++ (2.5GbE), up to 64W per port
  • 8 × 2.5 GbE RJ45 with PoE++ for Wi-Fi 6/7 AP connections
  • 2 × 10G SFP+ uplinks for high-speed backbone connectivity
  • 400W total PoE budget from internal 550W PSU
  • USP RPS DC backup input for power resilience
  • Layer 3 — DHCP, inter-VLAN routing, and static routing
  • Etherlighting™ on all Ethernet and SFP+ ports
  • Pro AV profiles — Dante, NDI, Q-SYS, SDVoE, and more
  • Compact 325mm depth — fits shallower rack enclosures
  • NDAA compliant, CE/FCC/IC certified

Recommended for

  • Office & SME deployments — PoE++ distribution for Wi-Fi 6/7 APs, VoIP, and IP cameras without a full enterprise-tier switch
  • Pro AV environments — built-in Dante, NDI, and Q-SYS profiles for AV networks with mixed PoE device types
  • Compact rack installations — 325mm depth fits shallow wall cabinets and comms room enclosures
  • Layer 3 edge deployments — DHCP server and inter-VLAN routing without a separate gateway for simple network designs

Software

Managed by UniFi Network

The USW-Pro-Max-24-POE is fully managed through the UniFi Network application — the same centralised platform used across the entire UniFi ecosystem. Configure VLANs, PoE schedules, port profiles, Layer 3 routing, and Pro AV profiles from a single interface with no per-device licensing fees.

Core management capabilities

  • Port management — configure speed, PoE output, VLAN assignment, and port profiles per port from the UniFi dashboard.
  • PoE scheduling — set time-based PoE on/off schedules per port to manage power consumption and device uptime.
  • Layer 3 routing — configure DHCP server, DHCP relay, inter-VLAN routing, and static routes directly in UniFi Network.
  • VLAN configuration — create and manage VLANs and 802.1Q tagging across all ports.
  • Remote monitoring — real-time port statistics, power draw per port, and switch health visible from anywhere via UniFi Cloud.
  • Pro AV profiles — one-click network optimisation for Dante, NDI, Q-SYS, and other professional AV protocols.
  • Firmware updates — push updates remotely without on-site access.
