Overview
The Ubiquiti UniFi HD In-Wall Access Point is the high-density upgrade to the UAP-AC-IW — a dual-band 802.11ac Wave 2 in-wall AP that replaces any standard single-gang Ethernet wall outlet with a discreet, wall-flush wireless access point and 5-port Gigabit switch. It delivers simultaneous dual-band coverage across 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz with 6 spatial streams, Wave 2 MU-MIMO, and beamforming — supporting 200+ concurrent clients and 8 BSSIDs per radio in a compact 139.7 × 86.7 × 25.75mm form factor.
Five Gigabit Ethernet ports make it a full mini switch as well as a wireless AP — one uplink port connects to the PoE switch, and four downstream ports connect wired devices in the room. The 48V PoE passthrough port powers a connected VoIP phone, IP camera, or secondary device directly from the wall plate. Powered by 802.3at PoE+ over a single cable — no separate power supply required.
